Welsh border wall takes shape as Welsh Secret Service plans impenetrable barrier along entire, 160-mile length of English frontier.

Politicians in Cardiff have refused to deny allegations that the Welsh Secret Service plans to erect a wall along the entire 160 mile (260 km) border with England.

‘We don’t comment on rumours,’ the Welsh First Minister told the Senedd. ‘Nor do we discuss intelligence matters.’

Welsh border controls

Calls to strengthen border controls have grown in recent years. ‘Second homes are driving house prices crazy,’ a Welsh housing committee reported. ‘Strengthening controls is simple common sense.’

‘Things have been going downhill since the Norman Conquest,’ an Ynys Môn (Anglesey) councillor said. ‘At least with Offa’s Dyke you knew where you stood.’

Welsh Secret Service?

Reports that the powerful Welsh Secret Service have led plans to construct the wall caused consternation in London. ‘I’ve never even heard of the Welsh Secret Service,’ an MI6 officer said, on condition of anonymity. ‘That shows their tradecraft.’

‘The first we knew of the Welsh border wall was a report on “X”,’ a Downing Street spokeswoman said. ‘So it must be true. The fact the Welsh have kept such a huge project secret shows extraordinary operational security. We need to take this seriously.’

Welsh border wall idea “absurd”

‘The idea that the Welsh can build a massive border wall without telling us is absurd,’ a Home Office spokesman said. ‘Why didn’t we think of it first?’

‘It’s a beautiful wall,’ ex-President Trump said.

‘Actually, it was my idea,’ said Emperor Hadrian, speaking in Rome. ‘But quis custodiet ipsos custodes?’
